Castle of Bourron
Built in the 17th century, the Château de Bourron is a magnificent private property in the “brick and stone” style. Close to Fontainebleau, this charming castle hotel with only 16 rooms, is in the heart of a 42-hectare park. Classified as a historical monument, this elegant family home, surrounded by a moat, offers all the advantages of conviviality while maintaining its authenticity. It is this model that the family that owns the estate tries to maintain through sustainable and responsible development. Here are some approaches that reflect this responsible commitment:
– Traditional restoration of the buildings with ancestral know-how
– We offer our guests the possibility to book a 100% green stay where we pick them up at the train station and bring them back by electric cart through the park. Once on site, bicycles are available for them to move around the park.
– We use, as much as possible, robotic mowers, to mow the 42 hectare.
– Reduction of our energy consumption by insulating the building
